Invitation, organizing committee and scientific committee
The Conference is organised under the patronage of the International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS), the European Vegetation Survey, the French phytosociological society (SFP), the Clermont-Auvergne university (UCA) and the university of Bretagne occidentale (UBO).
Since 1992, this conference has consistently brought together young and established scientists from various fields of vegetation science, representing countries across Europe and beyond, providing an important platform for presenting the latest research, creating opportunities for connection, and facilitating the exchange of ideas.
The scientific programs of each conference have consistently highlighted both mainstream and emerging topics in vegetation science, addressing critical issues such as the diversity, conservation, and restoration of plant communities and habitats in Europe.
The 34th EVS Conference will feature interesting topics related to historical data, dynamics, monitoring, conservation and restoration strategies, classification of European vegetation and habitats.
The 34th EVS Conference will offer four keynote lectures, several thematic sessions, and engaging poster sessions.
The conference will also include mid-symposium and post-symposium excursions from, providing exciting opportunities for European vegetation scientists to explore the great diversity of vegetation, communities and landscapes in the Auvergne region.
We sincerely hope you will join us in Clermont-Ferrand for this event. Your participation will make the 34th EVS Conference an inspiring gathering for the vegetation science community.
Stay tuned for further updates and detailed information about the program, registration, and excursions, which will be available soon on the conference website.
We look forward to welcoming you to Clermont-Ferrand in September 2026!
