Historical data, Dynamics and Conservation
Clermont-Ferrand 7th – 11th (13th) September 2026

Welcome to Clermont-Ferrand

We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming European Vegetation Survey (EVS) Conference, taking place in the city of Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne, France. This event will bring together researchers from Europe to explore the latest advances in vegetation science, ecological restoration, dynamics, biodiversity conservation and habitats management.

At the foot of the Auvergne volcanoes, the city of Clermont-Ferrand will offer researchers a historical setting and high-quality natural landscapes, contributing to their motivation and inspiration. The 34th EVS Congress will be held as part of the centenary celebrations of Josias Braun-Blanquet and Aimé Luquet’s phytosociological studies in Auvergne.

The conference will feature engaging keynote lectures, interactive sessions, and opportunities for networking and collaboration. Join us in celebrating the science of vegetation and shaping the future of ecological understanding.

News

The preliminary programme will be soon available.

The deadline for applying for financial assistance has been extended until April 15, 2026.

During the EVS Conference in Clermont-Ferrand 2026, there will be a competition among young researchers who, during registration, expressed their willingness to participate in the Best Presentation and Best Poster awards.
